Chapter 3: sparks

“Oh, my beloved Groove… I did fear lose you…” She said me with her trembling voice, due to that fright. I just could hug her a bit. I was injured in my arms. Some scratches rounded my face. My clothes were broken. The policemen looked at us and they asked to me. “Are you sure you are OK? You look like I you had been in a mortal fight.” “I’m sure I’m OK, commissary. Don’t worry for me, sir.” I replied him with a lower tone. That commissary didn’t look too convinced, but finally he and his team went out of the place. Mom and I went back to home. Some neighbors were around there, staring the destruction. When she looked that disaster, she turned stunned. “Our home is… It’s ruined! But how it happened, dear?” She asked to me while she looked me with sadness. “Mom, I swear it was unexpected. I just was eating my breakfast in the kitchen. Indeed. An explosion caused it and I hid myself in the laundry room…” “But, why were you outside there, at the main street?” “Eh… Well, I was finding for help. You know, mom…” Again, I smiled falsely. Mom didn’t look convinced. Then, she asked to me one more time: “Groove, why did you say me that ‘my draggy was safe’? I didn’t understand.” My mind was in blank. “So, are you meaning you were fine? But, why did you say that? Oh, gotcha! You’re a dragon fanatic or anything else, right?” then, I nodded. “You are right, mom. I believed you knew it, but I wasn’t sure. Even I thought you could say me I was acting like a child, being a teenager… I’m close to get 18 years old and I don’t wanna look-” Suddenly, mom silenced to me. “Don’t think that from me, I love you no matter if you wanna feel like a child a little more. So, you aren’t a mature, yet. You need only a year more. Enjoy your life no matter your age.” She winked me, and then she phoned to Assurance Company to repair the damages. I thought for a while: “whew, that was close. Fortunately she didn’t discover my secret”.
After that incident and some days later, I was fine, my wounds were healed and the home was in reparation. Mom was in the living room, looking how the repairmen were composing again everything that was broken. The windows, frame windows, some of the walls, the door... Mom couldn’t leave to see the reparation, by safety. Meanwhile I was in my room. I was trying to master my power. In my room I had some bottles with water. I tried to make the same streams like the one I used to defeat the shadowarrior. “Come on, Groove. You can do it…” I said myself. Some of water dropped out the bottles, I was achieving that but my mind was tired and I couldn’t concentrate me. Instead of, the lights turned on and then they turned off many times, like a Morse code. “Mom! The lights are acting so weird!” I shouted, but due to the reparation’s noise she couldn’t hear me. “Mom! What’s happening with the lights?! They are failing!” I shouted again. No answer was heard. I jumped off my bed and I looked through the windows. I saw some seemed events in the neighborhood. Even there were some people outside of their houses. “Auralino… It’s weird. Why the lights act such?” “Groove, just I can say it. Get ready to the next battle…” He answered me in my mind.
I took the decision to walk around the neighborhood. So I went down the stairs and later I said goodbye to mom. “Be right back later, mom. I need a breath.” Mom smiled to me while repairmen continued working. I didn’t notice one of them was staring me, suspiciously.
“Auralino, I need train soon, where I can do it? In this place I can’t, you know. Just remember that happened in the dead alley. And some people were close to discovering me as a dragon.” I thought. Then, he said me: “I know, right? So I have the perfect place to train, but you need to be dragon for a while.” After it, I returned to the dead alley. Nobody was near, so I could transform myself without problem. “Ok, I’m ready.” I breathed deeply. Then, I said something like it: “It’s time to fly!” My transformation triggered. In a moment I turned in that cool Crystalgon. But I just had one doubt… “But, where we go?” Auralino’s voice said me: “Use your left paw to scratch over the air.” “Huh? Will it works?” I said. “Trust me; you can do that and a lot of.” I scratched over the air with my left ‘hand’; I could see how the scratch turned in a portal. That portal was like a wormhole, but it was different. It looked like a secret cave-shaped hall. I entered there and instantly the portal closed behind to me. “It’s interesting, but I don’t have enough space to train here, bro…” So, Auralino’s spirit appeared to my side. There weren’t two Crystalgons; it looked like if his essence was along with me and inner of me, simultaneously. “No, no… This is just the way to go to Drako, our home.” I walked on through the hall; a white light was seen at the end. It was the exit from the hall and the entrance to Drako, the land of the Crystalgons. I could look a crowd of dragons, different colors, and many landscapes in a moment. That was amazing. “Is it Drako? It’s magnificent! I never thought it was true… It’s like a dream!” Then, some drakonatives were staring me. I wonder they couldn’t see the Auralino’s spirit, just me. They worshipped me as if I was their god. I was astonished. “They are my race, the Crystalgons. In Drako, I’m the leader. Not a king, ‘cause kings wear crowns. And I hate that title, I’m not a king, just I protect my race and I lead them when it’s needed. That’s why they are worshipping you, Groove.” He said me. I couldn’t believe that… “Amazing, it’s honorable to be the Crystalgon leader. Ah, that’s why I have the golden ring in the tail, right?” “Yes, you’re right.” He answered me. After a while, I went up to a mine. The mine looked rustic but it was rounded by some grass, weeds and little plants. Also there were the same main crystals of Drako. There were a sapphire, a topaz, an emerald, an onyx, a ruby, a lapis and an amethyst. I entered to the mine; it was roomy and even comfortable. “Auralino, is it your home? It’s interesting…” “Yes, it’s. This is the Seventa’s mine, the leader’s headquarters. I live here and it’s like the king’s throne. But I love this like my treasure because this is the Drako’s center.” I was fascinated. That mine was interesting, inside there were many encrusted crystals, like some lamps. They were shining. When I touched one of those crystals, an electric shock crossed through my body. “Whoa! What was that?!” My hand was hurting… I felt me like if I was reached by a blitz. Auralino saw it, he was thinking in something but I didn’t know what it could be.
After a while, I started to train. I entered to one laboratory, inside of the mine. I explored up to the most little place there. Really I felt I was in my own home. “Auralino, it’s fantastic! This place is the one I was finding for! Thanks!” But a shout scratched my happiness. “Somebody is in problems…” I went out the mine; I tried to hear one more time the shout. It sounded again. “There!” I flew up to that unknown place. There was night. Three moons were appearing in the drakian sky. “Oh, no… Time spends faster here. I have to go back to Earth… No, I need to rescue that victim.” When I arrived to the place where the shout sounded, I was just rounded by trees. “Auralino, I can’t see anything. It’s darker here.” “Use your nocturnal sight, close the eyes and try to see through the darkness.” I did it, I closed my eyes and suddenly some images came in to my mind. When I opened my eyes, again, the darkness was like the light, I could see clearly. My eyes turned purple. “It’s curious and wonderful; I never thought I would see through the night without goggles…” A being was looking to me, I could find it… “Water bomb…”  I attacked its. But it was faster than me. “Are you the Crystalgon’s leader? Don’t make me laugh!” It threw up to me an energy orb. I supposed it was another shadowarrior. “Free the hostage, coward!” I dodged that orb and then I threw to him another water stream. He dodged it, too. “Hostage, did you say? Just I know you are the hostage!” A fence rounded me and it turned in a cage, it trapped me in a while. “Yikes, it was a dirty trap… Let me get out!” I shouted. The shadowarrior revealed him in front of me. “You’re an innocent dragon, Auralino… Poor of you, and I thought you were so ancient to distinct between a trap and a real danger. Hahahahahaha!!!” I was shamed and angry, too. “I’m an idiot. How I could trust it?” When I tried to grab the cage bars to break them, I got another electric shock. “Aaaaaaah!” I groaned while I was thrown out back. “Draggy, this cage is made with a steel and topaz alloy. If you touch it, surely you die…” The shadowarrior walks around the cage, sure of your victory. I was trapped without chance to escape. “Groove, he said topaz, right?” “Yeah, he did. Why?” I was curious. Maybe Auralino was analyzing the moment. “Do you remember when you touched that crystal in the mine? It was a topaz crystal, too. I supposed it: as you have seen, you can’t master your power so good. But I wonder this guy don’t know my secret.” When I heard that, I was really confused. Then, the shadowarrior looked to me. “Hey, you! It’s time to pray your last words… In a while this cage will release its electric energy to you, and you will roast like a barbecue!” He was pointing me with a spear that he had. “Groove, think in electricity, hurry up!” “Why? Right now I hate the electricity, bud…” “Just do it, now!” So, I thought in some blitzes, like those that shocked me. Some sparks came out form my crystals… The shadowarrior shouted it: “It’s your end, Auralino!” The cage released its electricity… I resisted it for a while. “Auralino… Really is it my end?” “No, it’s just the start…” He answered me in my mind. Some laughs were heard from the shadowarrior. “I won! Finally I’ve destroyed to the Crystalgon’s leader! Huh? But what the-” He said it, so astonished. When the electric shocks turned off, he looked me, alive and unhurt. I was fine; the electricity didn’t destroy to me. “Auralino, why did it happen?” I said. The shadowarrior was scared. “You should be dead! That shock was powerful to kill an average dragon!” I faced him… Using my hands, and all my mind power, even, I bent the cage bars to exit. “Are you meaning I’m an average dragon? You’re wrong! I’m the master dragon in Drako! I’m the leader!” All my skin turned orange, my sapphires turned in topazes. Some blitzes rounded my arms. My power was boosting. “Tropigy mode, triggered!” I attacked to him with a blitz wave… Really I was angry. The shadowarrior was paralyzed due to that attack. “No, I can’t move me! Aaargh!” I said him: “Neither you nor your boss will defeat me. Never!” I flew up to him, with my paws I grabbed him, the topaz crystals released a lots of energy, converted in an intense electric shock. The shadowarrior was trembling… Some purple blitzes rounded him then, finally he was destroyed.
I was tired… I was sighing. “Wah… This is your secret, right? Your ace under the sleeve… Aurie, you have many things to tell me…” Suddenly, the Tropigy mode disappeared. I turned back to my human form… I begged… The tiredness won to me. I fell down, without chances to go up to the mine. I was drifting.
